According to the directives of the Department of Women’s Affairs in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Scientific Affairs Division / Continuing Education Unit, in collaboration with the Women’s Affairs Unit at our college, held a seminar titled “Domestic Violence Crimes and Ways to Confront Them in Iraqi Legislation.” The seminar was lectured by the faculty member Ms. Rana Ta’ma.
The seminar included several important topics: the concept of domestic violence, its causes, types, and the legislative response to it according to Iraqi law.
The seminar concluded with a series of important recommendations aimed at reducing these crimes.
